Designed to provide a high torque of 18 Nm at a weight of 19 kg, the SF-A4.0172.060-10.015 is designed to be a powerful AC brushless permanent magnet servo motor that has a frame size A with a length of 309 mm long. This motor is designed to help run gearboxes in robots and industrial machinery as this servo motor does not feature a keyway shaft but rather a smooth shaft which is great for transmitting torque more accurately without causing radial stress and prevent breaking of the shaft. The shaft has a diameter of 24 mm with a length of 50 mm.
The motor can be mounted on a flange which has a size of 142 mm to keep the motor secured when in operation. The motor does have a speed of 3000 rpm which may require it to be installed in an area with low traffic as it may be dangerous at high speeds. It is recommended to install the motor in an environment with a temperature less than 40 degrees Celsius to help prevent it from overheating as this motor does not feature a cooling fan and uses its metal body to cool down.
The SF-A4.0172.060-10.015 is part of the SF series which means it uses the single turn encoder that allows this motor to move the shaft accurately using the supported control module. This incremental encoder can move 8 million micro steps in one complete rotation to move the shaft much more accurately helping increase the precision of the motor making it a great candidate for applications that require high accuracy and control. This motor features a power connector placed on its back which uses a mating connector.
