Product Description
Being one of the smallest in the SF-A4 motor series by Rexroth, the SF-A4.0125.030-04.050 features a compact design without sacrificing driving capabilities. Boasting a rated speed of 3000 rpm, a standstill torque of 14.5 Nm, and a holding brake torque of 18 Nm, this motor is truly a magnificent creation by Rexroth. Its electrically integrated holding brake fixes the rotor in place at standstill and de-energized conditions. The holding brake operates in a fail-safe condition and takes on a supply voltage of 24 V at a current of 0.7 A.
The SF-A4.0125.030-04.050 operates anywhere between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius, and it cools via natural convection. Natural convection is a common cooling mechanism for small to mid-size motors since surface-mounted fans usually make the motor larger and therefore heavier. This motor model has a frame type of A4 and an integrated STG or MTG absolute encoder. These encoders work with the incorporated motor feedback to adjust motor parameters such as speed and position during operation. In terms of the permissible mechanical loads, for the SF-A4.0125.030-04.050, the permissible axial load is 154 N, while the maximum radial load is around 800 N. The axial load on the shaft is a force component parallel to the shaft’s axis, while the radial load is the force component acting perpendicular to the shaft. The maximum radial force acts on the shaft when the point of application is at the base of the rotor shaft.
Focusing on the SF-A4.0125.030-04.050’s rotor shaft, this motor model incorporates a keyway and a feather key for the shaft. Note that shafts of this type are recommended for lower demands as the key itself may wear out after repetitive use.
