The SF-A4.0125.015-14.154 is a permanent magnet AC servo motor from Bosch Rexroth SE Series. The SF series motors are equipped with electronic commutators. This motor comes with a built-in absolute value encoder (STG) for both position and speed control. The motor is equipped with a torque of 14.5 Nm at the speed of 0 min-1 with a stationary position current of 5.2 amperes at a winding temperature of 30 °C. The motor provides a continuous speed of 1500 min-1 with a torque constant of 2.8 Nm/A at the ambient temperature of 40 °C. Its moment of inertia including the encoder is 30x10-4 kgm2.
This motor comes with a flange diameter of 142mm and a shaft with a diameter of 24mm and a length of 50mm. the motor is equipped with a permanent magnet-type holding brake which is free from any kind of backlash for better performance. The brake attached to the motor can bear a torque of 18Nm at the ambient temperature of 120°C. The brake requires a continuous supply of 24 volts with a ripple of 5%. Its rated current is 0.7 amperes and its moment of inertia of 3.1x10-4 kgm2. The motor’s weight excluding the brake is 16 kg, whereas the brake has a mass of 1.04 kg. The maximum length of the motor without the holding brake is 277mm.
The motor gives its best performance at the ambient temperature range of 0-40°C, above this its performance deteriorates. The motor is equipped with a thermistor embedded in its winding with a range of -5 to +155°C. It is cooled by natural convection and radiating heat. It produces a maximum noise of 58 dB(A) at a distance of 1.0m.
