Product Description
The SF-A3.0068.030-10.015 is part of the permanent magnet servo motor series from Bosch. This particular model is designed to function in intense industrial environments where the temperature can reach up to 40 degrees Celsius which is also the maximum temperature limit of this servo motor. This servo motor has a protection class rating of IP 67 along with its mating connector. The IP 67 rating helps the motor stay clean from the inside as it protects against dust particles and water jet splash.
This motor has a smooth shaft design without a keyway design. The smooth shaft is great for applications that require torque transmission such as CNC machines that require the movement of the spindle head in the X, Y, and Z axis, and also in robots where each axis requires a servo motor for rotating the robotic arm to its point of interest. This particular model does not feature a holding brake to stop the shaft from moving from its position in the case of power outage or errors.
This motor can provide a standstill torque of 6.6 Nm which is high for application that require high torque rotations for moving end effectors or other heavy components such as a spindle drive in the case of CNC or drilling machines. For moving the motors accurately the SF-A3.0068.030-10.015 features a single turn absolute encoder which the users can upgrade to a multiturn encoder with an increased resolution of 4096 increments per revolution. The main difference here is that the multiturn encoder is always tracking its rotations while the single turn absolute encoder is only tracking the position of the shaft and not the number of rotations.
