Product Description
The SF-A3.0068.030-00.210 from Bosch Electric is a permanent magnet servo motor with a single-turn absolute encoder. This servo motor uses permanent magnets for field excitation and a round armature for rotating its shaft. The motor is designed and intended for operation with a D.C. link voltage of 670 Volts. The motor has a frame size of 3 and a speed of 3000 rotations per minute which is sufficient for high-speed industrial applications. This motor has a shaft with a keyway and feather key shaft which allows it to attach other components to its shaft helping it keep secure during high-speed rotations.
The motor has a standstill or locked rotor torque rating of 6.5 Nm which is an average compared to other motors in the SF A3 series which are capable of providing higher torque values. The motor does draw a current of 5 Amperes when locked in a position to help it keep its shaft steady for accurate positioning. It can output 1.36 Nm of torque per ampere of current which is somewhat efficient enough for a motor with such specifications.
This motor features a single-turn encoder that has a resolution of 8192 increments per revolution allowing for accurate position of the shaft with a minimum error rate. The single turn feature allows this motor to only rotate once and can track only one rotation. It has a coil resistance of 3.3 ohms and consumes 785 Watt second when operated for a shorter period of time. The motor also features a 24 volts DC holding brake to clamp the shaft to prevent it from moving when the motor shaft is stationary or during power loss during operation.
