The SF-A2.0041.030-14.057 is an SF series AC servo motor having permanent magnets inside and electronic commutation and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The motor is built with a rated speed of 3000 min-1 and provides a moment of inertia of 6 x10-4 kgm2 including its built-in encoder. It has a single-turn (STG) incremental value encoder with an option of a multi-turn (MTG) encoder. Its encoder resolution is 8 million increments per complete revolution and a precision of ±20 angular seconds. At zero speed in locked rotor condition, the motor can have a torque of 4 Nm if its winding temperature is 30 °C. At this state, the motor draws current up to 2.8 amperes. This motor also has a good torque constant of 1.43 Nm/A at the environmental temperature of 40 °C.
The motor has a flange in compliance with IEC 72-2 / DIN 42 948 standard. The diameter of the flange is 100mm. It has a cylindrical shaft end with thread to mount and unmount the driven parts. Its shaft has a diameter of 14mm and a length of 30mm. the motor has a natural convection cooling and radiating cooling. It can be operated at an ambient temperature of 0-40 °C.
The motor also has a holding brake which helps in stopping the shaft rotation. It has a good torque of 3.2 Nm and a moment of inertia of 0.4 x10-4 kgm2. This brake requires an operating supply of 24 volts and draws up to 0.56 amperes to work properly. The overall weight of the motor is 7.1 Kg and that of the brake is 0.35 Kg. This motor has class F thermal protection in accordance with the DIN IEC 85 standard.
