The Bosch Rexroth SD-B5.250.015-05.000 is a versatile permanent-field servomotor that has a torque of 25 Nm. Its nominal speed is 1500 rpm. The motor forms an integral part of the manufacturer’s Servodyn drive concept. The unit comes with a rating plate attached to its housing for identification. The product has a brushless tacho and commutation sensor integrated into its non-driving end. The unit is not equipped with a built-in encoder. The device has ball bearings at its driving end. The motor has vibration quality levels N and R as per DIN ISO 2373. The maximum noise rating of the unit is 64 dB (A) at a distance of 1.0 m.

The installation of the SD motor should ensure sufficient heat dissipation. The surface of the motor can have high temperatures when it is being operated and for some time after it is turned off. If necessary, a touch guard should be provided. Drive elements like clutch disks, belt pulleys, and gear wheels should be fitted and removed using an appropriate mounting and extraction device. These elements can be incorporated into the device’s shaft. The unit does not come with mating connectors. If required, they should be ordered separately.

The SD motor does not support the IM V1 vertical mounting orientation. The motor has an NTC thermistor positioned in its windings. The device should be operated only with a compatible inverter. The product should not be operated on a standalone basis. It should always be used with an inverter. It should be noted that if the motor is connected to an inverter that is not approved by Bosch Rexroth, its operation will be restricted.
