The Bosch Rexroth SD-B5.250.015-04.000 is an efficient permanent-field servomotor designed specifically for use in industries. The device is equipped with a permanent-magnet, backlash-free disk brake that operates based on the fail-safe principle. The control voltage required for releasing the brake is 24 V DC with a tolerance of ± 5%. The brake cannot be reliably released if the voltage tolerance is not properly observed. It should be noted that this disk brake is not a working brake. Extreme caution should be exercised when handling the motor. Its housing surface must not be touched when it is live because it turns very hot and can cause injury.

The connectors of the SD motor have plastic protective caps. These caps are secured in place with aluminum securing rings. The tacho of the unit is meant for velocity feedback. The rotor position of the device is recognized by the tacho and commutation sensors. The product’s total power loss is created in its stator winding. The user is not allowed to dismantle the motor. Only its tacho board may be removed for replacement.
