Product Description

The Bosch Rexroth SD-B5.250.015-01.000 is a high-performing permanent-field servomotor in the SD series. The motor is meant to be operated with a compatible inverter. The device has permanent magnets in its rotor. The product is designed to be used for all kinds of mechanical applications. Sufficient heat dissipation by natural convection and thermal radiation should be ensured. The device must not be dismantled for any purpose. Before the initial operation of the unit, the motor-module combination should be checked using the type label attached to the housing.

If the SD motor is connected to a module that is not approved, the operation will be restricted and damage may occur to the motor. The device portrays maintenance-free operation because of the brushless construction of the motor and the tacho. The product portrays good synchronization via precise current regulation and a special magnet configuration in all three phases. The shaft of the motor is not equipped with a keyway or feather key. The basic construction style of the device is IM B5 in accordance with DIN IEC 34-7 specifications.

The plastic protective caps of the servomotor must be fitted to the connectors via a screwing action. When the motor’s ambient temperature range of 0°C to 40°C is exceeded, the motor shows reduced output. The device is completely sealed and hence meets a high protection standard. It should be noted that the plastic protective caps fitted to the connectors should remain on the servomotor and should be screwed on when the motor is returned to avoid damage to the sockets during transportation. The minimum service life of the motor’s ball bearings is 20,000 hours of operation.
