Product Description
Like most SD brushless servo motors, the SD-B4.140.030-00.000 is connected to a servo module to achieve predetermined parameters such as torque and speed. A connection is made via terminals of the associated servo module through plug-in connectors of the motor. The size of the connecting cable is capped at 1.5mm2 for optimum signal transfer. The SM 25/50-T module that regulates and monitors this motor should be installed in housing to protection standard IP44 or IP54. Airflow into the modules should not be obstructed by other components in the cabinet. A space of 100mm must be provided below and above the module.
The servo module comes with a handful of options. The option diagnostics module ensures prompt diagnosis of the SD-B4.140.030-00.000 providing the operator with vital information thanks to the 4 status LEDs. The option ramp generator is used to limit the leading and trailing edge of the command signal. This significantly limits the motor braking and accbeleration. The option circuit braking short circuits the motor windings allowing the feed axes to slow down controllably. It achieves this by increasing the rated current by 3 to 4 times and as a result the torque increases by the same margin.
The short circuit braking module for the SD-B4.140.030-00.000 has a 3.3Ohms resistance and a 293Ws minimum energy. Ensure that there are three resistors in this module. The maximum connecting cable size is 4mm2, test voltage should not exceed 2500VAC, and the maximum ambient temperature should be 55 degrees. Ensure that this Bosch Rexroth motor is compatible with the servo module before bringing the inverter system into operation. For peace of mind, it comes with a one year warranty.
