The RZP01.1-P2 is a communication module designed by highly trained operators of Rexroth Indramat. This module is specifically manufactured to serve as a Profibus DP connection in all industrial converters of the REFU 500 series. The integration of this drive controller into the servo system improves the efficiency of the exchange of digital information, it also allows the industrial drive converter to connect with superordinate automation computers used in industrial production systems. The RZP01.1-P2 Profibus communication module is designed to operate with an internal voltage that falls between +5 volts to +15 volts. The integration of this communication module into the industrial servo drive should be done by well-trained industrial operators that have gone through the documentation of the device, this is to ensure that the communication module is utilized optimally.
The RZP01.1-P2 Profibus communication module allows for the connection of up to 32 stations to one bus line. For optimum operation, the RZP01.1-P2 communication module should be operated in an ambient temperature that falls between +5 to 45 degrees Celsius, and at a 3K3 environmental class. However, if the communication module is not required for immediate operation, then it should be stored in ambient temperature that falls between the range of -5 to +75 degrees celsius. This communicating module has a length of about 111.5 millimeters and a width of 87 millimeters, it is also designed to operate according to the A1 noise suppression level.
The Profibus option card RZP01.1-P2 is connected to the bus system via the X37 connection terminal, for error-free operation, the Profibus line should be terminated with resistors on both ends. The operational status of this communication module can be monitored through special light-emitting diodes present on the housing of this frequency converter.
