Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth RZP01.1-L2 is an optional module that enables peer-to-peer coupling on RD 500 systems. There are two module slots for optional modules on the RD 500 control module. Peer-to-peer coupling is used to establish a fast digital set point cascade. Fiber optical cables are used for data transfer. The module allows each drive in the cascade to send 5 process data words to the next drive in the cascade. A dedicated controller on the RZP01.1-L2 ensures that the data processing time is minimized. The number of drives in the cascade does not have a set limit. For RD51 drives the clock of all drive units can be synchronized through the peer-to-peer coupling. For RD52 drives the peer-to-peer coupling can be realized only in an unsynchronized manner. Bosch recommends the use of RZP01.1-L1 options for RD52 synchronization.
The RZP01.1-L2 module supports multiple baud rates including 9.6, 19.2, 38.4, 76.8, 115.2 and 230.4 kbaud. The power supply rating is +5 Volts and +15 Volts internal from the control card. Dimensions of the RZP01.1-L2 are 100 x 87 millimeters. The environmental class of the RZP01.1-L2 is 3K3 according to DIN EIC 721-3-3. The recommended temperature for storage of the module is -25 to 70 degrees Celsius and the temperature range for operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The RZP01.1-L2 module complies with A1 radio interference suppression level according to EN 55011. The noise immunity of the module complies with EN 50082-2. Pre-configured fiber optic cables for peer-to-peer coupling are available in 0.3 meter and 1.0 meter lengths. These AFP fiber cables are manufactured by Toshiba with connector housings using a clamping system. The procedure for shortening the cable or assembling cables of a particular length is described in the manual. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
