The RZP01.1-G2 is a type encoder and an incremental encoder emulation designed by Rexroth Indramat to help in the evaluation of rotary encoders and to emulate pulse encoders used in the industrial servo system. This incremental encoder emulation can support the operation of a broad range of industrial encoders such as the pulse encoder, the sine-cosine encoder, the absolute values encoder with RS485 interface and the Absolute value encoder with SSI interface. The application of the RZP01.1-G2 improves the productivity of the servo system as it allows the drive controller present in the servo system to receive digital information about the physical operation of the industrial motor in real-time. The RZP01.1-G2 can be integrated into slot one or slot 2 of the industrial servo drive in accordance with the instructions stated by Rexroth Indramat in the documentation of the incremental encoder emulation.
The RZP01.1-G2 is designed to operate smoothly in unfavourable industrial environments. The appropriate operating temperature for this encoder emulation falls between 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. If the incremental encoder emulation is not required for immediate operation, it should be stored at an ambient temperature that falls between -13 to +158 degree farenhint. Under the normal operating condition, this machine accessory can operate for more than five years without breaking down or requiring any maintenance operation.
The RZP01.1-G2 contains a power supply card that requires an internal voltage of about 5 to 15 volts from the logic and control cards. The configuration of this incremental encoder into the servo system should be done by highly trained industrial operators who whave gone through the instructions stated in the device's user manual; this is to prevent sudden machine breakdown that can be caused by the use of wrong configuration parameters.
