Product Description
The RZP01.1-G1 is an optional card for Bosch Rexroth RD 500 drives. It provides incremental encoder simulation for the drives. Applications of the card include looping the master setpoint signal, electronic shaft and master setpoint from an external encoder. When used for looping the master setpooint signal, the X40 output on the RZP01.1-G1 can be configured with P0134 so that the encoder input signals are directly routed to the output drive allowing instantaneous signal looping. When used for electronic shaft application, the encoder angle D1987 can be directly used as a setpoint for the position controller or can be routed via the electronic gear. This position controller processes 32-bit quantities. When used for master setpoint from an external encoder, the speed is evaluated according to the pulse counting method. The actual speed value does not include a low-pass filter.
The encoder output of the RZP01.1-G1 supplies signals and the associated inverter signals. The RS-422 drivers supply a differential voltage signal level of 2.5 Volts for a 120 Ohm load. Outputs on the RZP01.1-G1 are short-circuit proof. The encoder input on the option card supports TTL / RS-422 level pulse encoders and supports use as a second encoder for position and speed synchronization. The RZP01.1-G1 inserts on the module slots that provided on the front of the control card and draws +5V Volts / +10 Volts from the control card. The maximum current drawn by the option card is 300 milliamps. Physical dimensions of the RZP01.1-G1 card are 100 x 89 millimeters. The optimal temperature range for operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The recommended temperature range for module storage is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
