The RZP01.1-C1 is a CANopen communication interface card designed by Rexroth Indramat to facilitate the smooth exchange of information between the industrial drive and all other parts of this servo system without the use of a host computer. The RZP01.1-C1 operates with a message-based protocol that allows for multiple electrical wiring in the industrial servo system, thus reducing the electrical cable needed for the wiring operations of the servo system. The RZP01.1-C1 is very flexible in its application. It is perfectly compatible with the industrial drive series applied in highly sophisticated industrial machines such as food processing machines, packaging machines, metal forming machines, and more. The CAN open interface is electrically isolated for all other parts of the controller module; the electrical current used by the communication interface is supplied by an integrated electrical transformer.
The RZP01.1-C1 communication interface operates according to the controller area network; it is a multiple-master system that can operate asynchronously and serially in the servo system in half-duplex mode. The communication system is characterised by a high data transmission rate and low cost; it also allows for the removal and insertion of operating nodes during the operation of the servo system. Although the communication module allows for the installation of about 127 logical nodes, the present physical limit is 64 nodes. Unlike other communication bus systems, the RZP01.1-C1 CANopen communication system is structured according to information-oriented transfer; each piece of information sent through this system has a specific priority.
This communication interface card is about 104 millimetres long and 86 millimetres wide. The optimum ambient temperature range at which this converter should be operated falls between 0 to 45 degrees celsius. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
