Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth RZM02.1-6-024 is a motor filter. It is an accessory that can be ordered separately for RD 500 series drives. The purpose of using a motor filter is to reduce the excess transient voltages on the motor terminals. These excess voltages are caused by steep switching of pulse converters in combination with the lengthy motor lines. The use of motor filters provides numerous advantages including reduction of power surges and strain on the motor winding insulation, ability to use long motor lines or multiple parallel motor lines and reduction in the interfering voltages on the motor line. The RZM02.1-6-024 has a rated connection voltage range of 380 to 400 Volts AC (three-phase). The maximum rated current for the motor filter is 24 Amps. At 8 kilohertz pulse frequency, the maximum output frequency is 200 Hertz and the maximum line length is 150 meters.
At 4 kilohertz pulse frequency, the maximum output frequency is 100 Hertz and the maximum line length is 300 meters. The use of shielding leads to a reduction in the line lengths by 50%. A type label is attached to the RZM02.1-6-024 and lists important information including the type code, the nominal voltage and other technical specifications. The type label should be checked when the shipment containing the filter is received to ensure that the filter specifications match those included in the order for the product. The RZM02.1-6-024 should only be installed after the installation and safety instructions in the product manual have been read and understood. The installation of the filter and the associated machinery such as motors and drives should only be performed by trained and experienced personnel. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
