The RZM01.1-5-630 is a motor filter designed by Rexroth Indramat to protect industrial motors from the excess electrical voltage generated during steep switching of industrial drive controllers used in the industrial production systems. This device is manufactured by highly trained industrial operators, it is characterized by a high service life and its ability to operate very smoothly in industrial environments considered unfavorable for convectional machine components. This motor filter provides the servo system with a lot of operational advantages some of which include the reduction of interference voltage on the motor line, the ability to support the operation of industrial motors using long supply line, and the limitation of power surges capable of causing damage to the power circuits of industrial motors and drive controller.

The RZM01.1-5-630 motor filter features a housing unit that can effectively protect its internal components from the penetration of solid materials larger than 12 millimeters, this housing unit however offers the filer no protection against the penetration of liquid substances thus the filter should not be operated in any industrial environment with a relative humidity level higher than 90 percent. The RZM01.1-5-630 mains filter receives electronic current through a three-phase connector, though the electronic connector, the filter receives the high electrical density it requires for optimum operation. The nominal connecting voltage required by this filter is about 500 volts, also the maximum ambient temperature at which the converter can be operated is 40 degrees Celsius.

The maximum rated current that can be used by the RZM01.1-5-630 mains filter for its operation is about 630 Amperes.
