The RZK01.1-315-BW heat exchanger is designed with an internal braking resistor that functions to protect the power circuit of the exchanger from the excess current usually generated in the servo system during operation. This brake resistor has a resistance of 2×2.2 ohms and a nominal power of about 2×2 kilowatts. The resistor also has a terminal time constant of about 13.6 seconds. Before the braking resistor is commissioned with the heat exchanger, it must be checked if the parameter P0036 parameter is set to standard values as this allows to frequency converter to have perfect control over the operation of the resistor.
