The RZK01.1-160-BW/S115 is a new generation device designed by highly trained engineers of Rexroth Indramat to help industrial frequency converters with the regulation of internal temperature. This device improves the efficiency of industrial production systems as it helps these converters to operate for a long period without overheating. The RZK01.1-160-BW/S115 heat exchanger is widely renowned for its durability and flexibility, under ideal operating conditions, the exchanger can simultaneously support the operation of numerous frequency converters as long as the sum of the individual converter losses does not exceed the total cooling power of the device. The enclosure of this device offers it sufficient protection thus the exchanger can withstand operating conditions considered unfavorable for other industrial electrical devices.
The RZK01.1-160-BW/S115 heat exchanger is designed with a brake resistor, this resistor helps in the protection of the power cabinet of the frequency converter from the excess electrical current generated during the deceleration of industrial motors. The RZK01.1-160-BW/S115 heat exchanger generates a leakage current as high as 3.5 milliamperes; thus to protect electrical accidents, operators should ensure the heat exchanger is securely connected to an efficient grounding system. The short circuit connection cable ideal for the wiring operation of this device should be of type NSGAFOU.
The nominal power of this exchanger is about 2 kilowatts, however, the exchanger can generate a peak power of 270 kilowatts for about 0.1 seconds. Also, the thermal time constant of the exchanger is 13.6 seconds. The maximum installation height for this device is 1000 meters above sea level, operating the converter above this height can lead to a significant decrease in the efficiency of the device.
