Product Description
The RD52.1-7N-055-L-NN-FW is an inverter based drive controller. It is used for control of various induction and synchronous motors from Bosch Rexroth. The modular architecture allows the controller to be adapted to various requirements. The inverter on the controller operates at 530 to 670 Volts DC and does not include a brake chopper. Power section on the controller is designed for cooling at the rear. Therefore forced air cooling can be used with higher degree of protection. RD52 controllers with liquid cooling and external heat exchangers are also available. Bosch has provided two methods for controller commissioning: operator panel and PC based software. Both methods are user friendly and allow for easy controller commissioning. The RD52.1-7N-055-L-NN-FW for is designed for forced air cooling and is mounted with the heat sink outside the cabinet.
The nominal output of the RD52.1-7N-055-L-NN-FW is 55 kilowatts under ideal operating conditions. The nominal output is specified for 4 kilohertz pulse frequency. The controller output varies with pulse frequency and with operating conditions. The output of RD52.1-7N-055-L-NN-FW derates under non-specified ambient conditions. Bosch has designed the RD52.1-7N-055-L-NN-FW for forced air cooling. This cooling method relies on a minimum amount of air flow for proper heat dissipation. The air flow is created fans or blowers. The cooling air requirement for the RD52.1-7N-055-L-NN-FW controller is 0.2 m3/second. The controller must be stored in a dry and clean space. The storage temperature range recommended by Bosch is -25 to 70 degrees Celsius. Temperature variations that exceed 20 K per hour can cause controller damage. Additionally the electrolytic capacitors on the converter and supply modules cannot be stored for more than 2 years when not under power. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
