The RD52.1-7N-007-L-NN-FW is a 7 kilowatts rated universal controller. It is based on DC inverter. The input rating of the inverter is 530 to 670 Volts DC. The drive inverter does not support a brake chopper. The RD52.1-7N-007-L-NN-FW cools via forced air cooling. It performs optimally at 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. A user panel, PC-based RDwin software and other interfaces can be used to operate, monitor and parameterize the drive system. One RS-232 serial interface and one RS-485 serial interface are available on the control and logic board. Optional communication modules such as SERCOS, Profibus and CAN bus can also be used for setting drive parameters. An unused controller must be stored at a location that is clean and dry. The temperature of the storage location should be kept between 25 and 70 degrees Celsius.

Temperature variations greater than 20K per hour can cause equipment damage. Some drive components such as DC link capacitors can be stored only for up to 2 years when not under power. Storage of such components without system power for more than 2 years can cause irreparable damage. The minimum requirements at the controller installation location include 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature, relative humidity that is less than or equal to 90% and unobstructed air flow. The installation site should not contain any aggressive or chemically conductive gases that can cause equipment damage. The output of the RD52.1-7N-007-L-NN-FW derates at elevations that exceed 1000 meters and reaches a maximum level of 17% at 2000 meters. Bosch does not permit use of the RD52.1-7N-007-L-NN-FW at elevations of more than 200 meters. Protection category of the drive housing is IP20.
