The RD52.1-4N-160-R-NN-FW/S109 is one of the frequency converter models of the RD 500 drive system. It is a Design 1 model that achieves control using field-oriented regulation. Its nominal connecting voltage falls between 380V and 480V with a ±10% tolerance, and its power rating is 160 kW. There is no holding brake here, and its cooling is by liquid cooling with an internal pump. This frequency converter belongs to Size Class G and can be operated at different switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, and 12kHz for correspondingly different outputs.
With its cooling system, the RD52.1-4N-160-R-NN-FW/S109 weighs 157 kg. It belongs to the 3K3 environmental class according to DIN IEC 721-3-3. Hence, it should be operated within an ambient temperature range of 0o C to 40o C with a maximum relative humidity of 95%.
