The RD52.1-4N-045-W-V1-FW is Bosch Rexroth universal drive controller that is designed for motor control applications. Typical drive applications include chemical and process technology, machine tools, handling and assembly systems and packaging systems. To ensure motor control according to requirements, the drive needs to be programmed prior to commissioning. The drive should only be operated under the specified mounting and installation conditions, in the specified mounting positing and under the specified ambient conditions. The relevant details regarding drive operation are contained in the product manual. The use of the drive for applications other than those specified in the product manual is considered as improper. Options for drive configuration include an optional operator panel, PC-based RDwin software and serial interfaces including RS-232 and RS-485. The serial interfaces are a standard component of the control and logic board on the drive.

Additionally, optional interface boards such as SERCOS, Profibus and CAN bus can be used for drive configuration. The optional control panel supports a copy function that enables parameter sets to copied to other units. This features helps with rapid commissioning of RD52 drives. Password level 3 is required for transferring data onto drive. The RD52.1-4N-045-W-V1-FW is based on a converter without brake chopper. The drive can be connected to three-phase AC mains at 380 to 480 Volts AC and delivers 45 kilowatts output under ideal operating conditions. The RD52.1-4N-045-W-V1-FW is a liquid cooled drive and performs optimally between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. The stand-by power feature on the drive requires an external 24 Volts DC power supply. Proper installation and operation requires training and experience.
