Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s RD 500 system is an advanced universal three-phase drive system that is used for synchronous and induction motors. It has a modular hardware and software design which allows it to be flexibly adapted for specific drive functions. The components of the RD 500 system include AC drive converters, inverters for DC supply, rectifiers, and supply modules. Its typical areas of application are chemical and process technology, machine tools, handling and assembly systems, and packaging and foodstuff machines.
The RD52.1-4B-160-F-V1-FW is a converter in Bosch Rexroth’s RD 52 series, which uses flux vector control. Hence, it can be used in several drive tasks with high power and dynamics requirements. The converter can be used with or without an encoder. Encoders that can be used include an incremental encoder, resolver, and sin/cos encoder. It can function with various interfaces for controlling, monitoring, and parameterizing the drive system. The interfaces include Interbus S remote bus, Profibus DP slave, CANopen, SynchroLink for fast communication between multiple drives, and Peer-to-Peer coupling with fiber-optic cable.
The line supply voltage of the RD52.1-4B-160-F-V1-FW is a three-phase AC 380 to 480 V with ±10% tolerance. It is equipped with a brake chopper with an integrated high load braking resistor. This converter has a 24V standby power supply that allows the control electronics to operate without any line supply voltage connected to the converter. It is fitted with radio interference suppression filters and line reactors that reduce the harmonics fed back into the line supply. This converter completely fulfills the EMC directives regarding noise immunity and noise emission. It also conforms with noise immunity specifications according to EN 50082-2.
