Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s REFU drive 500 series is an advanced three-phase drive system used universally for various types of synchronous and induction motors. The drive system has a modular hardware and software design; hence it can be flexibly adapted to a particular drive application. Its components include AC drive converters, inverters for DC supply, rectifiers, and supply modules. The devices of the RD 52 series of the REFU 500 are used in the most challenging, highly dynamic drive tasks. They can be operated with and without an encoder. The encoders that can be used include an incremental encoder, resolver, and sin/cos encoder.
The RD52.1-4B-001-P-NN-FW is a converter in the highly dynamic RD 52 series that uses flux vector control. It is equipped with a built-in brake chopper for monitoring the DC link voltage. In the manufacture of this converter, special attention was given to ensure an easy start-up. This is made possible by features such as quick setup, automatic motor adaptation via parameter identification, and basic parameterization. An operator panel with a graphical display and the powerful software tool, REFU win, can also be used to commission it. The operator panel is removable and is used to operate, monitor, parameterize, and copy parameter sets which can be transferred to other devices.
The power module of the RD52.1-4B-001-P-NN-FW is constructed for rear cooling. This allows cooling at a high degree of protection via a heat exchanger plate. The typical areas of applications of this converter include chemical and process technology, machine tools, hoist- and conveyor technology, handling and assembly systems, and packing and foodstuff machines. It should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C.
