The Bosch Rexroth RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW is a drive system which is part of the RD 500 series of drives. It can be commissioned with prompts on the operator panel. The drive can also be commissioned from a connected computer with the RDwin programming software. Power section on the RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW is designed for cooling at the rear. Therefore forced air cooling can be implemented with better protection. RD 500 series drives with liquid cooling are also available. The RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW comes with a converter and connects to AC mains at nominal 380 to 480 Volts AC (three-phase). The drive converter includes a brake chopper and mains filter. Output power rating of the RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW is 1 kilowatt. The drive also supports 24 Volts stand by power. This feature allows the control electronics on the drive to operate without line supply voltage connection to the converter.
This stand-by power functions provides several advantages including continuous operation of field bus with disconnected power supply and data sets can be parameterized even though the converter is not connected to the AC mains supply. Firmware for the drive system need to be ordered separately. Interference suppression filters and a line reactor are integrated in to the RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW drive converter to reduce that harmonics that are fed back into the line supply. Optional interfaces including Profibus, SERCOS, Interbus, CAN bus and RS-232/RS-485 are available for monitoring, control and parameterization of the drive system. RD 500 drives also support Synchrolink and peer-to-peer coupling for fast inter-drive communication. The RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW is rated for 200% overload for 0.5 seconds and 170% overload for 1 second. Only qualified and trained personnel should handle, install and operate the RD52.1-4B-001-L-V1-P1-NN-FW drive system.
