The RD51.1-7N-045-L-V1-FW/S122 is a RD51 series drive controller from Bosch Rexroth. The drive modules can be purchased separately or as a completely wired system. Power sections on the drive are designed for cooling at the rear. Therefore forced cooling from outside the cabinet can be implemented with a higher degree of protection. RD51 drives with liquid cooling are also available. Commissioning of the RD51.1-7N-045-L-V1-FW/S122 can be done from the RDwin software or from a GUI-based operator panel. The operator panel uses prompts to simplify the commissioning process. Radio interference suppression filters and line reactors are used on RD51 drive to reduce the harmonics that are fed back into the line supply. The RD51.1-7N-045-L-V1-FW/S122 has A1 rating according to EN 55011 for noise immunity and radio interference suppression. The inverter on the drive is rated for 530 to 670 Volts DC.
The drive inverter does not include a brake chopper. At 4 kilohertz pulse frequency, the rated output of the RD51.1-7N-045-L-V1-FW/S122 is 45 kilowatts, the rated current is 82 Amps, the peak current for 1 second is 139 Amps, the rated output is 54 kVA and the peak power for 60 seconds is 70 kVA. At 8 kilohertz pulse frequency, the rated output of the RD51.1-7N-045-L-V1-FW/S122 is 37 kilowatts, the rated current is 68 Amps, the peak current for 1 second is 116 Amps, the rated output is 45 kVA and the peak power for 60 seconds is 58 kVA. The cooling method for which the RD51.1-7N-045-L-V1-FW/S122 is designed is forced air cooling. Proper drive cooling requires a minimum air flow rate of 0.2 cubic meters per second.
