The Rexroth RD51.1-7N-001-L-NN-FW is a drive control device. A drive control device is a state-of-the-art, universal three-phase drive system for various synchronous and induction motors. The system includes various AC drive converters (with/without braking chopper, line contactor etc.), inverters for DC supply as well as rectifier and supply modules which are capable of regenerative feedback into the line supply. The device is equipped with a start inhibitor function. Using this function, the “Protection against accidental starting” requirement, in compliance with EN 60 204-1, can be implemented. Drive control device units are designed to control electric motors and to monitor their operation. Typical applications for the RD51.1-7N-001-L-NN-FW are chemical and process technology, machine tools, packaging machines, etc. The ambient conditions specified in the manufacturer’s manual must be observed. Start-up is only permitted once it is ensured that the machine, in which the product is installed, complies with the requirements of national safety regulations and safety specifications of the application. Safety measures should be taken to prevent all possible risks such as electric shock and dangerous movements.
The RD51.1-7N-001-L-NN-FW has a U/f curve control line. The drive control device has an Inverter DC 530 – 670 volts (+/- 10 %) nominal connecting voltage. It is without a built-in brake chopper for converter and has a 1-kilowatt power rating. It has a forced air-cooling model (> = 110 kilowatts). Firmware for the frequency controller must be ordered as a separate subposition. 400 to 480 Volts AC. It has a RS485 interface that supports the USS protocol, which is used to control the converter from a PLC. The USS protocol for a universal serial interface defines an access technique according to the master-slave principle for communication via a serial bus.
