Product Description

The RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW is a Bosch Rexroth RD 500 series three-phase drive system. The system components can be ordered separately or as a completely wired system. The drive can be commissioned with prompts using the operator panel with graphical display or through a user-friendly software package called RDwin. The RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW features an additional signal processor with high-dynamic performance applications including servo applications. The RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW can sustain up to 200% overload for 0.5 seconds and 170% overload for 1 second. The rated power output of the RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW is 5.5 kilowatts. The drive converter is rated for three-phase 500 Volts AC and includes a built-in brake chopper. Additional functions supported by the RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW are connection to RZC01.1-ST with NAMUR terminal strip and 24 Volt stand-by power.  The standby power feature allows the control electronics on the drive to operate without line supply voltage connected to the converter. 

Through the stand-by power, the data sets on the RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW can be parameterized and the field bus can continue to operate. Bosch recommends that the 24 Volts standby supply be connected to the X83 in a floating manner. If the floating method is not used, then the X83 will not be protected against reverse polarity. Power consumption of the backup power feature is 40 Watts and the startup current is 5 Amps. Forced air cooling is the cooling method for which the RD51.1-5B-005-L-DF-FW is designed. A minimum air flow of 0.3 cubic meters per second is required to maintain the recommended ambient temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The IP 20 rated drive housing weighs 6.5 kilograms. The drive is designed for indoor use and should be installed inside a cabinet. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
