The RD51.1-5B-003-L-DF-FW is a drive controller designed by Rexroth Indramat to carry out an accurate control of the speed, acceleration, and position of servo motors used in industrial production systems. This controller is characterized by high durability and flexibility, it can be configured to meet the operation requirements of complex industrial machines such as metal forming machines, food processing machines, paper converting machines, and lots more. The housing of the controller meets the IP20 protection class according to EN 60529, thus it effectively protects sensitive internal components of the controller from foreign materials with external diameter higher than 12 millimeters. This frequency converter has a very high service life, however, to protect the integrity of the controller, operators must ensure it is operated according to the instructions stated by Rexroth Indramat in the documentation.

The RD51.1-5B-003-L-DF-FW frequency converter features expanded and freely expandable technological functions such as timers, capacitors, and ramp-function generators. Under normal operating conditions the overcurrent capacity of this controller is about 200 percent for 0.5 seconds and 170 percent for 1 second. The controller contains an internal fan which helps to keep its temperature regulated via forced ventilation. The rated power output of industrial motors controlled by this converter is about 3 kilowatts. To ensure compatibility, the firmware module is not supplied with the controller, operators should order this module separately depending on the industrial application the controller is required for.

The RD51.1-5B-003-L-DF-FW industrial controller can be operated with a nominal connecting voltage of about 500 volts. The permissible ambient temperature for the operation of this controller falls between 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, while the maximum installation height is 1000 meters above sea level.
