Product Description

The Indramat Refu RD 500 drive system offers its users a variety of product advantages, such as flexibility and efficient motion control. The drive system is designed to be used universally for various models of synchronous and induction motors. One of its families of components is the RD51 converter series. The motion control devices here work with other components of the system like inverters and supplier and rectifier modules to control electrical motors and monitor their operations.

The RD51.1-4N-045-L-D1-FW is a converter of Size Class C in the Indramat Refu RD 500 system. Its maximum permissible motor power is 45kW, and its nominal connecting voltage is within limits of 380V and 480V with a tolerance of ±10%. The nominal frequency rating for this voltage is between 50Hz and 60Hz. The converter is designed to be cooled by forced air cooling and has a cooling air requirement of 0.4m³/s. It has no integrated braking chopper but can be parameterized and commissioned using a removable user panel. The user panel has a 4-line graphical display and an integrated copy function for saving parameters and transferring them to other units of the drive system.

Radio interference suppression filters and line reactors are integrated into the RD51.1-4N-045-L-D1-FW. This is to reduce harmonics in the line supply of the converter in compliance with the EMC Directive on noise immunity and noise emission according to EN 61800-3. It is also resistant to the entry of solid extrinsic objects, making it a product of the IP 20 according to EN 60529. It requires a maximum ambient temperature of 40^oC and is supported by an external standby power supply. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
