Product Description
Indramat Refu’s modular RD 500 drive system is a three-phase current drive system used for various synchronous and induction motors. Its components include converters, inverters for the DC connection, and power supply modules in regenerative feedback and normal power supply versions. The RD 51 converters in this drive system are ideal for applications that do not require servo characteristics. They include moving gears, centrifuges, and pumps.
The RD51.1-4N-011-L-NN-FW is a model of the converters in the RD 500 drive system. It utilizes voltage frequency control, where a set value determines its output frequency, and the output voltage is adjusted proportionally to this frequency. It works at various pulse modulation frequencies to achieve motion control, including 4kHz, 8kHz, and 12kHz. The power rating of this converter is 11kW, and it is designed for cooling by the forced air cooling method. According to EN 60529, it has an IP 20 Ingress Protection rating, indicating that solid extrinsic materials over 12mm cannot penetrate it.
Like other components of the RD 500 drive system, the RD51.1-4N-011-L-NN-FW complies with the EMC directives on noise immunity. This is due to the use of fast-switching semiconductors in its construction, ensuring high-level control at high cycles and reduction in power losses. In addition, its compact size allows it to be installed in closed cabinets that reduce noise radiation. A removable user panel with a 4-line graphical display is another feature of this converter. The user panel stores the converter’s parameters and allows them to be read out or transferred to another converter without using a PC. Indramat Refu’s REFUwin software tool also facilitates this parameter copy function and aids the system’s rapid startup.
