Product Description
Indramat Refu’s RD 500 drive system is designed to operate several models of synchronous and induction motors. The universal three-phase drive system is composed of highly functional components such as converters, inverters for DC supply, and rectifier and supply modules capable of regenerative feedback into the line supply. Its RD51 converters are used for applications that do not need servo characteristics.
The RD51.1-4B-075-L-NN-FW is an RD51 converter model designed and manufactured by Indramat Refu and uses voltage frequency control to control motion. In this motion control method, a set value determines the output frequency while the output voltage changes to suit this frequency. This converter features an integrated brake chopper with a continuous power of 45kW and peak power of 148kW for one second. It also has a removable user panel with a parameter copy function, used to operate, visualize and parameterize the drive system. The parameter copy function allows the exchange of parameters between this converter and another in the series.
Cooling in the RD51.1-4B-075-L-NN-FW is achieved via forced air cooling. The converter also supports mounting in control cabinets since it is modular and has a compact build. Fast-switching semiconductors are used in its construction, ensuring efficient control at high cycles and leading to a reduction in power losses. The integration of this RD51 model into an automation network can be done smoothly with its interfaces, including Interbus S remote bus, Profibus DP slave, CANopen, and via Peer-to-Peer coupling with a fiber optic cable. Its Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529 is IP 20. This means that solid objects with diameters of 12mm or more cannot penetrate the unit to cause damage.
