The RD51.1-4B-030-L-D1-FW model is a frequency-controlled drive converter that step-up or step-down the frequency of the input voltage according to the requirements. The RD51.1 drive converter is designed to develop an economical and energy-efficient motion control system. The converter comes with a forced cooling option in which a blower unit is used to maintain the overall temperature of the converter housing. The ambient temperature range for the RD51.1 model is 0 to +40 degree Celsius with a maximum temperature range of +50 degree Celsius. The module can be mounted at the maximum height of 1000 m/sea level and with the further increase in altitude the converter efficiency will decrease gradually. The RD51.1 drive converter comes with 5 digital inputs, 1 analog input, 1 encoder input, 1 analog output, 1 relay output, RS232 interface, and RS485 interface. The model allows peer-to-peer coupling by using optical fiber cables and the CANopen or Profibus DP interface is installed in this model for developing efficient communication. The operator panel is attached to the front side of the drive converter.

The model RD51.1-4B-030-L-D1-FW is installed along with a three-phase AC 380 – 480 V power supply module that supplies input voltage at the rated frequency of 50/60 Hz. The module generates the 30 kW of rated power at the motor output shaft and an integrated brake chopper is installed in this unit. As per the RD user manual, the converter is protected under IP20 protection standards and the environmental class of the converter is 3K3. The firmware unit must be ordered as a separate sub-item according to the required operations of the drive converter.
