Product Description
The RD 500 drive system built by Bosch Rexroth is a world-class three-phase drive system. It comprises AC drive converters, inverters for DC supply, and regenerative feedback rectifier and supply modules. These components are configured in a modular fashion enabling the drive system to be customized for various applications. The RD 500 system is operated with Bosch Rexroth drive control units. Together, they are used in machine tools, hoist and conveyor technology, chemical and process technology, and packing and foodstuff machines.
The RD41.1-6B-025-L is a power supply module in the RD 500 drive system. It is a Version 1 model with a three-phase supply voltage of AC 400V with a tolerance limit of ±15%. It has a rated output of 25kW and a rated current of 50A. The environmental class of this device is 3K3 per DIN IEC 721-3-3 standard; thus, it requires a room with a maximum relative humidity of 95% and maximum absolute humidity of 29g/m³ for its operations. It is also best used within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
The cooling method suited to the RD41.1-6B-025-L is forced air cooling. It is also equipped with an in-built braking chopper which controls the DC link voltage when there are power surges in the intermediate circuit. The braking chopper operates in conjunction with a braking resistor which converts the excess power in the DC link into heat energy. According to EN 6052, this power supply module also offers a protection degree of IP 20. Therefore, it is touch-proof and has total protection against dust ingress. It is also impenetrable by extrinsic solid objects with a diameter of 12mm or more.
