Product Description
Rexroth Bosch Indramat Group is renowned for producing high-end drive systems used for motion and logic operations. The company has been producing complete PLC, PPC and MTC systems that can work on their own or in combination with other systems. The RECO12 INTERBUS system is a fine example that can either work in combination or as a remote I/O station. For this purpose the I/O system uses a field bus interface known as INTERBUS. An INTERBUS covers a large radius up to 12.8km between the interface module and the connected remote bus device. The large distance is subdivided into 400m max. bus segments. Among other components, a set of INTERBUS Input / Output modules is necessary. Each device should be assigned unambiguous address to maintain transparency.
The RME12.1-16-DC024 is an INTERBUS input module that offers 16 inputs and requires a voltage of 24Vdc. The INTERBUS input module follows design code 1 and it is supposed to connect digital control signals generated by electronic proximity switches, pushbuttons and limit switches. The mounting dimension of the RME12.1-16-DC024 is 214mm x 41.3mm x 150mm. The INTERBUS input module is secured with the help of available screws at either end. The input connector features two groups; X1 and X2 featuring 10 pins. 8 pins are used for signal transmission whereas the remaining 2 points are left for grounding.
The voltage specification is; -10 Volts to +8 volts (low voltage) and 17 volts to 30 volts (high voltage). The input current can reach as high as 10mA while the input module has a power loss of 4 watts. It is recommended that the RME12.1-16-DC024 INTERBUS input module should be installed by a qualified professional. Any damage to the system due to inappropriate use is not covered under 1-year warranty.
