The RAC 4.1-400-460-L00-W1 main spindle drive controller can digitally control two motors, an Indramat asynchronous main spindle motor and a frameless spindle motor with up to 93 kW continuous power motor output. The RAC 4.1-400-460-L00-W1 features drives with high stiffness and extensive range of speed variation, making it compatible with automated machine tools. Its AC-main spindle drive also has an internal automatic position control loop with a maximum resolution of 1/4 000 000 revolutions. The main spindle drive has a high-resolution feedback that can control low speeds during the c-axis operation.
The RAC 4.1-400-460-L00-W1 can be connected to three-phase supply networks. The electrical connections of the main spindle drives are also standardized and categorized into the following: feedback and NC connections, power connections, and controller-dependent connections. In case a power failure occurs, the RAC 4.1-400-460-L00-W1 drive will use its D.C current braking system to shut down the main spindle. It also offers an optional additional interface.
