Product Description
The drive controller RAC 4.1-300-460-L00-W1 digitally controls 1MB asynchronous frameless spindle motors that have a continuous motor output of 52 to 93kW at the output shaft and drives varying in speed. This drive controller can precisely process the spindle as a servo-axis in the position control loop.
The RAC 4.1-300-460-L00-W1 allows for a direct mains connection and integrates an emergency shutdown. The speed, position, and torque set-points are delivered via SERCOS interface – a digital interface for serial real-time communication with numerically controlled devices. It doesn’t have an additional encoder input or synchronization input for the spindle feedback neither does it have or need an extra interface. The heat dissipated from this drive controller is dependent on the workload. The heat released is distributed into the outside air of the control cabinet. As a safety precaution, the values for the maximum permissible excess pressure and the cooling airflow should be controlled. The servo-axis operates with a maximum resolution of 1/ 4 000 000.
Cooling the air inside the control cabinet is advisable, to maintain the ambient temperature of 45°C within the control cabinet. To avoid the danger of condensation, the cooling device should keep running until the installed equipment attains the same level of temperature as the control cabinet air. The RAC 4.1-300-460-L00-W1 operates within a temperature of up to 45°C. The maximum permissible humidity correlates to a humidity class F, according to DIN 40 040. Implementing the cooling device should be done properly to prevent moisture dripping on the drive controllers and should be arranged such that the cooling device blower does not spray condensed water that was gathered after a shutdown, onto the controller. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
