The central spindle drive controller RAC 3.5-100-460-A0D-W1-220 is a precise controlling drive for the asynchronous motor. The RAC 3.5 version comes with 100A current rating and 3*AC380-460V, +/- 10%, 50-60Hz Rated voltage. The controlled voltage specified with this spindle is AC 230V, +/- 10%, 50-60Hz; 200VA. It provides an intelligent digital controlled system with 1MB frameless spindle motor with a continuous power shaft of 10 to 30 kW. The controller drive's analog speed set point is +/-10V, and the digital speed set point is 16 bit parallel for connection to PLCs. It will provide long line distances and low set-points advantages. The new RAC 3.5-100-460-A0D-W1-220 will aid in synchronous input with an additional encoder.
The ambient temperature for the RAC 3.5 spindle drives are +5 °C to 45°C. Maximum permissible ambient temperature is +55 °C. The altitude for efficient working of this drive should not exceed 1000 meters above sea level. If the altitude increases, it will drop the torque and power of the controller. The permissible ambient humidity may not exceed 70% as it will cause condensation of water. The condensation will affect driver performance. For efficient working, a proper cooling system should be placed. For efficient cooling in the spindle drive control panel, the RAC 3.5 comes with a built-in fan. It will aid in cooling down the mounted spindle with continuous inward and outward airflow.
This spindle drive comes with a protection category of IP10 as per EN 60 529(DIN VDE 0470). That means the drive spindle controller is protected against incursion by foreign objects greater than 50mm in diameter. It has high stiffness and provides continuous power with the servo-axis control loop. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
