The RAC 2.3-250-460-L00-W1 model can operate ideally between the temperature range of +5 to +45 ͦC with the maximum bearable temperature of +55 ͦC with rated data reduced to 80%. The main spindle drive controller is used to control AC main spindle motors especially in CNC machines which require high speed, high precision, and continuous power. The model uses the SERCOS interface for real-time communication set-point and actual values of speed, position, and torque, including parameter handling to the CNC controls. The main spindle drive controller is designed to operate at the rated current of 400 A and it can be connected directly to the 3-phase AC 400~460 V power source having 50 to 60 Hz of operating frequency at ±15% tolerance. The model comes without any additional bleeder and produces 43 kW of regenerated output with a peak regeneration output of 78 kW.
The model RAC 2.3-250-460-L00-W1 delivers 65 kW of continuous output and peak controller output of 78 kW at the motor’s output shaft. The model can operate ideally under humid conditions at the maximum altitude of 1000 m above the sea level without a reduction in drive data whereas, the value for rated torque and power decrease with the further increase in altitude. The permissible ambient temperature range on which the drive controller can operate normally is +5 to +45 ͦC. The storage and transport temperature of the model is -30 to +85 ͦC. The total weight of the RAC drive controller is approximately 125 kg including the weight of mounting and accessories. The model comes with a built-in fan for cooling purposes.
