Product Description
The RAC 2.3-250-460-A0I-Z1 made by Indramat Rexroth offers a smart control system for the Indramat 2AD main spindle motor. The servo drive has a continuous output power of 30 to 52 kW at the shafts. The controller can be distinguished from other drive controllers by its wide speed range and constant power output, which makes it suitable for use in computerized machine tools. For better performance, the servo drive should be installed and operated at a surrounding temperature of up to 45 degrees C without any adjustments on the preinstalled drive data. To maintain the right operational temperature, a cooling device is installed together with the drive inside the control cabinet.
The RAC 2.3-250-460-A0I-Z1 is delivered with a cooling device after purchase. In other scenarios, the drive's cooling device might not be well-matched with the main machine, and so, changes on the control cabinet may be required. The adjustments are made before the drive is installed inside the control cabinet to avoid mismatching screw access. Follow these steps during the reconstruction of the control cabinet: Open and remove the lid of the cabinet. Remove the lower plate of the heat sink. Detach the cooling baffle found on the side of the heat sink. Unfastening of the screws can only be done through the backside of the controller.
Always ensure that the control cabinet is sealed to avoid condensation of the heat emitted by the drive. The cooling device temperature should be set lower than that of the surrounding control cabinet by -2 degrees. It is also important to always clean the shafts and the heat sink to prevent them from overheating when the drive is in operation. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
