The RAC 2.3-250-380-LP0-Z1 is a main spindle drive controller manufactured by the Indramat to offer sophisticated and advanced control to two major types of Indramat Motors: 2AD asynchronous main spindle motors and 1MB frameless spindle motors with a continuous motor power output of 30 to 52 kilowatts. The spindle drive controller connects to the servo motor via a motor feedback cable. It provides these servo motor with a broad speed range, precise shaft control, and high stiffness based on the signal it receives from the control center. The spindle drive also functions with a high resolution of 1/4 000 000th of a revolution; this allows the controller to control servo motors moving at very low speeds. The spindle drive controller is perfectly suited for Computer numerically controlled machines.
The RAC 2.3-250-380-LP0-Z1 spindle drive controller features three electrical connections: the power connections, the motor feedback, CNC connections, and the controller specific connections. It uses these electrical connections to connect to the mains electricity, exchange digital signals with the servo motor and control center, and convey electrical signals to its housing components. The drive controller also features a heat sink and a fan, which helps regulate the temperature within the drive. Cooling air is transported into the drive controller, transported through the air shafts (where it absorbs excess heat), and then dissipated away from the drive controller through the air silts.
