The RAC 2.3-200-460-D00-W1 is a spindle drive controller specially designed by the Indramat cooperation for numerically controlled industrial machines. The spindle drive controller provides intelligent digital control of the Indramat 2AD asynchronous main spindle motors and 1MB frameless spindle motors with a continuous motor output of 30 to 52 kilowatt at the drive shaft of the motor. The drive controller also provides machines with high stiffness and broad speed range with continuous power output.
The RAC 2.3-200-460-D00-W1 spindle drive controller has three major categories of electrical connections: the power connections, the feedback and CNC connections, and the controller specific connections. The spindle drive controller's power connections consist of the cables that the drive controller uses to connect to the mains electricity and supply power to the main spindle motor. The CNC and feedback connections, on the other hand, contain cables, which the controller uses to exchange digital signals with both the main spindle motor and the command control panel. The RAC 2.3-200-460-D00-W1 spindle drive controller emits heat during operation, which is discharged over the air slits in the cover and the built-in heatsink.
The RAC 2.3-200-460-D00-W1 receives a rated connection voltage of 3 x AC 400Volts per 50Hertz or 3 x AC 460Volts per 60Hertz from the mains electricity. It has a type current of 300 Amperes. The drive does not have an additional encoder input nor an additional controller interface. The drive controller has a continuous regeneration output of 37 kilowatts and can maintain a peak regeneration output of 55 kilowatts for about 5 seconds after a power interruption. For optimum performance, the drive should be installed and operated according to the instructions in its documentation.
