The RAC 2.3-150-460-D00-W1 is a main spindle drive controller from Indramat. It offers intelligent digital control over Indramat Asynchronous motors as well as IMB frameless spindle motors. At the drive of its shaft comes continuous motor output of 30 to 52kW. It is of the third design of the second series of RAC controllers.
The RAC 2.3-150-460-D00-W1 has a type current of 400A. Its speed set point is a digital 16 bit parallel which is used for relating with PLC controllers. The rated connection voltage is 3 x AC 400V/50Hz, 3 x AC 460V/60Hz. Its cooling system is a built-in fan and rated connection voltage is 3 x AC 400 V, 50 Hz, ± 15% or 3 x AC 460 V, 60 Hz, ± 10%. In relation with the motor output shaft, the continuous controller output is 65kW and peaks at 78kW. While the continuous regenerated output stays at 43kW, it doesn't exceed its maximum peak of 78kW, as it relates to its motor output shaft.
To increase the performance and longevity of the RAC 2.3-150-460-D00-W1, all ambient temperature regulations must be adhered to. With rated data, the permanent ambient condition should extend from +5⁰C to +45⁰C. When rated data is cut down to 80%, the fixed ambient temperature should be around the limits of +55⁰C. Without reducing rated data, the altitude of installation should not exceed 1000m above sea level. The controller should be stored and transported in temperatures between -30⁰C and +85⁰C. According to its humidity category, its permanent humidity should be F according to DIN 40 040. The RAC 2.3-150-460-D00-W1 has a protection class of IP10 corresponding with EN 60 529 (DIN VDE 0470).
