The RAC 2.2-200-460-A0I-W1/S001 drive controller is an efficient drive controller produced by Indramat. The drive is most efficient when paired with motors that deliver a power output between 30-52kilowatts. Such motors include Indramat 2AD asynchronous main spindle motors and 1MB frameless spindle motors. Due to the sophisticated technology the drive controller is manufactured with, the motors controlled by this drive controller are characterized by high stiffness and a broad speed range, making them perfect as spindle drives in machines that uses numerical control.
The RAC 2.2-200-460-A0I-W1/S001 drive controller uses a type current of 400Amperes. It can be connected to a three-phase supply network with 3 x AC 400V/50Hz, 3 x AC 460V/60Hz. It uses an analog speed setpoint interface with a +/- 10 volts for connection to conventional CNC control. It is without an additional encoder output and uses an additional incremental encoder output interface. The drive does not contain a bleeder. The drive can acknowledge the rotor position at a maximum resolution of 1/4,000,000 revolutions; this makes it able to control the spindle drive even at the lowest speed.

It regulates its temperature using an in-built heatsink and air blower and should not be operated at an ambient temperature greater than +5 to +45 degrees Celcius.
