The RAC 2 series RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-W1 is a spindle drive controller from Indramat. The controller can be operated at either three-phase 400 Volts AC input or three-phase 460 Volts AC input. Supported line frequency for 400 Volts AC is 50 Hertz and the supported line frequency for 460 Volts AC is 60 Hertz. The current rating of the controller is 300 Amps. For performance as per specifications, the altitude of the RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-W1 needs to be less than 1000 meters and the temperature of air surrounding the controller needs to be between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius. If the controller is operated outside these thresholds then the output will derate i.e. will be less than rated values. The rated peak power output of the RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-W1 is 55 kilowatts which derates to 44 kilowatts (80% of peak) if ambient temperature reaches 55 degrees Celsius.
At altitudes of 2000 meters and 5000 meters, the output derates to approximately 80% and 65% of rated power values. Maximum allowed ambient humidity corresponds to humidity class F as per DIN 40 040. The controller can be operated in humidity-risk environments such as workshops. The average relative humidity must not be allowed to exceed 70%. Additional bleeder, additional encoder input and additional interface are not available on the RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-W1. The controller supports analog speed set point (±10 Volts) which is suitable for interfacing with conventional CNC controls. RAC 2 controllers also support digital speed set-point interface and SERCOS interface and the required interface can be selected at the time of ordering. The RAC 2.2-200-460-A00-W1 comes with internal cooling fan which helps to ensure that recommended temperature thresholds are maintained during operation.
