The Indramat RAC 2.2-200-380-D00-W1 is a Series 2 main spindle drive controller. This controller is designed by Indramat for spindle motor control. Spindle motors which are compatible with the RAC 2.2-200-380-D00-W1 include frameless motors from 1MB and asynchronous spindle motors from Indramat. Both the continuous and peak controller output ratings for the RAC 2.2-200-380-D00-W1 are 55 kilowatts. The continuous and peak regeneration output ratings for the controller are 37 kilowatts and 55 kilowatts respectively. Approximate weight of the controller is 121 kilograms. The weight of M1-RAC mounting frame is 2 kilograms and the weight of the M2-RAC accessories is 1.7 kilograms. Voltage and current ratings of the controller are 400 Volts AC (three-phase, 50 /60 Hertz) and 300 Amps. The controller supports digital speed set-point for connection to PLC controller. Digital set point is advantageous for longer circuits and low speed set-points.
Features which are not available on the RAC 2.2-200-380-D00-W1 include additional encoder input, additional interface, and additional bleeder. An integrated cooling fan is however available on the controller. The programming module must be plugged into the programming socket before the controller can be commissioned. The programming socket is located on the left side on the lower edge of the controller front plate. For transportation and storage, the recommended ambient temperature range is -22 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The environment used for storing the RAC 2.2-200-380-D00-W1 must free of moisture and dust and the controller should be protected against impact. A vibration damping base should be used during transport if danger of excessive vibrations exists. For operation, the recommended ambient temperature range is 41 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
