The Indramat RAC 2.2-200-380-APD-Z1 is a Series 2 main spindle drive controller which is designed to provide digital control of asynchronous spindle motors from Indramat and frameless spindle motors. The RAC 2.2-200-380-APD-Z1 can be used to control spindle motors having rated output ranging from 30 to 52 kilowatts at the motor drive shaft. The controller can be connected to 3-phase AC supply network rated for 400 Volts AC (±10%) and 50 to 60 Hertz line frequencies. The controller comes with integrated mains contactor and an emergency stop switch. Integrated cooling fan is provided on the controller and helps to maintain the temperature within specified limits. The permissible ambient temperature range with rated data is 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. If the ambient temperature goes up to 55 degrees Celsius, the performance of the controller reduces to 80% of the rated data.
Housing of the RAC 2.2-200-380-APD-Z1 is rated for IP10 according to EN 60 529. Unused controllers should be kept in an environment where the temperature is maintained between -30 and 85 degrees Celsius. Indramat recommends maximum 1000 meter altitude for installation of the controller. Weights of the controller, mounting frame and mounting accessories are 121 kilograms, 2 kilograms and 1.7 kilograms respectively. Rated current for the RAC 2.2-200-380- APD-Z1 is 300 Amps. The controller supports additional encoder input for spindle feedback or second motor feedback. Additional controller features include additional bleeder and additional interface rated position value digital (16 bit parallel). The controller speed set point is analog (±10 V). Rated continuous output for the RAC 2.2-200-380-APD-Z1 is 55 kilowatts and the peak continuous controller output is also 55 kilowatts. Installation of the controller should only be performed by trained personnel. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
