The R-IB IL PWR IN/R-PAC input module is an integral part of Inline stations. This module is tailored to supply essential 24 V DC voltages required for low level signaling within the system. The module serves as an additional power source for both communication and analog terminals when the bus coupler power capacity is exceeded. It accepts a 24 V DC input and converts this to supply communication (UL) and analog (UANA) terminal voltages to ensure consistent operational voltage in high demand conditions. The model provides 7.5 V for communication and UANA I/O voltage requirements. The module maintains a stable output to meet specific system needs especially in potentially explosive Zone 2 environments. Electrical isolation of the module is ensured across different voltage areas to meet 500 V AC standards.

The model’s key technical features include its 24 V supply for generating both UL and UANA operating within a voltage range of 19.2 V to 30 V DC. Maximum current consumption reaches 1.25 A allocated as 0.75 A for communication and 0.5 A for analog power. The module’s main and segment circuit supply can operate up to 8 A each while a power dissipation of up to 2.55 W is permitted. It safeguards against high pulse loads and polarity errors with protective diodes for surge protection and polarity reversal.
