The R-IB IL AI 2/SF is a high precision analog input module designed to support analog voltage or current signal measurements. It is compatible with INTERBUS for streamlined data routing to enable integration into various industrial automation applications. The compact design with dimensions of 12.2 x 120 x 71.5 mm and a weight of 47 grams allows it to fit seamlessly into control cabinets without requiring excessive space.
This R-IB input series module offers two single ended analog inputs that allow it to handle both voltage and current signals. Voltage ranges include 0 to 10 V and ± 10 V while the current ranges span 0 to 20 mA, ± 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA. It supports 2- and 3 wire sensor connections that ensures compatibility with a wide range of sensors. The device updates process data within 1.5 milliseconds providing near instantaneous signal acquisition that is critical for time sensitive applications. A high input resistance of >220 kΩ for voltage inputs and 50 Ω (shunt) for current inputs enhances signal accuracy. It maintains reliability under sensor failure conditions reverting voltage to 0 V or current to 0 mA/4 mA. Diagnostic indicators on the module ensure easy monitoring and troubleshooting.
Powering the R-IB IL AI 2/SF analog input module requires a 7.5 V communications power input with a typical current consumption of 45 mA while the I/O operates on a 24 V DC supply drawing approximately 12 mA. It maintains low power consumption at around 625 mW. The module provides excellent common mode rejection (CMR) at 90 dB minimum (110 dB typical) to minimize interference. This module offers flexible address configuration with a 4 byte input and output address area that enables it to suit various control systems.
